Our SEMA build: 4x4 Monster truck Bobbed modified military M35a2 truck cargo multi fuel turbo diesel

Posted by oz-usa on 12th Aug 2020

1966 M35a2 Originally Manufactured by Jeep Kaiser for US military

It was originally a 6x6 troop carrier bobbed and converted to 4x4 professionally.

This vehicle was completely overhauled and built for SEMA show 2018

Engine

This vehicle came to us with a blown head gasket leaking water from the head gasket. Replacing the engine was not an option we considered before since we wanted to retain original multifuel function.

Our original plan was to repair the original engine, till we got lucky, and found the exact same engine brand new in crate locally for sale on craigslist.

Those engines were basically re-manufactured for  government with brand new parts to replace the engines in old military trucks. Once those trucks were decommissioned and surplussed same happened for the engines. Most ended up in private parties and militarily surpluses and over the years they became more rare to find new in crates.

Multi fuel engines are designed to run on any fuel when conventional fuel sources are not available in war zone, including gas, diesel, jet fuel, fuel oil, used vegetable oil, used motor oil, kerosene.

Painted the whole truck green with black trim. We replaced the old soft top with brand new black one.

This is a great vehicle for

Tactical vehicle for disaster, emergency situations,

Excellent attention grabber for advertising your business,

An off road toy or a massive truck to haul heavy load.

Even though we daily drove it for a while, keep in mind it is heavy, loud and good exercise to drive with no power steering but a unique driving experience.
